Chrome web store review took 19 days. By then I had already trained myself back to the default new tab. The extension still sits unpublished in a zip file named final-final-v3.
Gig Globe
A 3D earth of every coffee shop with Wi-Fi.
The globe was gorgeous. The data was a graveyard of closed cafes. I kept adding flags instead of calling venues. People spun it once, said sick, and never opened it again.

The jokes were good. Engineering managers forwarded them to the team. Then a VP asked if we were building a culture of accountability or a comedy product. We were building a comedy product. Soft-killed in Q2.

I spent eleven weekends building a reader that hid unread counts, because anxiety is a feature of every other app. Then I realized I was the only person who wanted less information. Friends asked where the badge went. I put the badge back. The product was no longer the product.
Standup Ghost
Auto-write your Slack standup from git.
Worked perfectly until legal said we could not read private repos. Then it became a form with three boxes, which is what Slack already is. I shipped the form anyway out of spite.

Notion, but it would finally make you think.
Started as a notes app. Became a graph. Became a daily journal. Became an AI tutor. Became a life operating system with 47 empty screens. I never wrote a second note in it because opening it felt like work.
